There are many problems our children are faced with today. A few common issues include: Bullying If your child could only receive the gift of confidence she could stand up to bullying behavior and put a stop to it, withstand peer pressure by being assertive and making the right choices, and would have the power to say “No” to things they shouldn’t do. I remember being a young boy with no confidence and a poor self-esteem. I was empty inside and nobody knew it. It was difficult to hide at times. I also remember being bullied by kids at school and on the bus when I was young. People made fun of me and pushed me around. All that changed when I was given the gift of confidence. When I joined Kenpo Karate my life changed completely. As I learned proper leadership skills and started to become a role model my confidence improved drastically. I was doing things I never thought I could do. For once, I was happy with myself and I become stronger in mind and body. My entire life changed from that day forward. I was no longer a target for bullies; people began to like me and wanted to be my friend; and I was able to make good choices because I was happy with myself. Although your child may not have a problem with confidence and self-esteem, sometimes we as parents are unaware of it if he does. |
Everything in life is based upon how we feel about ourselves and whether or not we believe in ourselves. If your child is confident and has a healthy self-esteem she will be healthier, get better grades, follow rules more consistently, have more friends, and have a brighter future than a child who is not confident and has a poor self-esteem. CONFIDENCE IS KEY! Everything your child experiences can hurt or help his confidence in himself. If he does not have confidence and people are always putting him down, he will be placed on the path of self-destruction and will go down a road to healing the pain within by being defiant. If he has confidence, something someone else says about him will not hurt him because he is confident. In our Kenpo programs your child will be able to eliminate all self-doubts. Many things go on inside a child’s head without proper guidance. Things like this: “I’m not as smart as Kelly.” “I wish I was as pretty as Jill.” “Why does Joe keep calling me names?” “There must be something wrong with me.” The question is: how do you get your child to fight these demons? This problem exists in many children. Your child has a difficult time telling you she’s haunted by them, let alone how she is going to overcome them. The good news is I have the answer and it has been proven several times. My child programs are designed to produce results. The lessons are easy to learn and any child can do it. Give your child the gift of confidence by enrolling her into one of my age-specific child programs. PERSEVERANCE: Your child will find happiness in improving her physical stamina. She will walk farther, run longer and practice skills until she gets them right. In turn she learns not to give up. With the help of her teachers she strives harder and longer to reach her goals. She learns the value of discipline. Even if she fails, she perseveres. She won’t let self-doubts get in the way of finding solutions. Measured performance improves performance. Your child will accept where he is now by measuring his current strengths. This results in better focus. He learns to make eye contact with people. He pays greater attention to what each person says. After the second group class I will set up an enrollment conference with you to answer any questions you have and to discuss your child’s needs. If I feel he or she would be an acceptable candidate for my program you can register your child and get him or her started.
